How To Adapt a Baby Legging Pattern for Reusable Nappies

Do you use reusable nappies? Well firstly, let me commend you for going that extra mile in your sustainability measures! Have you, (like me) found that they come up quite big and making leggings for little ones often end up too snug?

I recently spoke with a lady who sells handmade baby wear and we were discussing how reusable nappies take up much more room than disposible ones. I offered to help her adapt her pattern to offer this extended sizing, and it seems mad not to share it with you all as its such a simple tweak, totally doable at home with your existing pattern.

Find my tutorial for a simple and easy way to adjust your baby leggings here.

You Will Need:

  • Your Pattern (traced off if you wish to keep the original)

  • A Ruler or Pattern Master

  • A piece of Tracing Paper

  • A Pen/Pencil

  • And some Tape
